weekend project

This Thanksgiving, I was fortunate enough to be invited to a great cook but stranger's place (my friend's sister's in law's...which means a complete stranger, right?). Started with great appetizers (as long as there are several kind of GOOD cheese, it is always perfect to me) with great Syrah, martini and Patron...love them all... and of course, turkey. Even though I am not big fan of turkey, I could tell it was a good turkey, tender and juicy...yum. However I just had a slice of it, and filled my tummy with nicely grilled veggies, pies, and homemade cranberry & orange butter cake which was my favourite. Ohh...getting hungry just to remember those! Thanks to my lovely friend! She was so kind enough to take care of me when she invited me to another party a day after where I got drunk so bad for the first time. Have to treat her a nice Japanese dinner (NOT sushi) one day.

Other than that, I was pretty busy with all the assignments I have kept for a while. However, as usual, so much distubances being in my room. So I started to redecorate my room, and look what I made! (painted) Isn't it adorable?? It is supposed to be purple with gold polarization glitters. Took so long time to finish since I had to paint a couple times to get the colour. I love it!

GIRLS, BE ECO-FRIENDLY!

What a stupid idea someone came up with...
A bra which can be transformed into a eco-bag you can use at grocery stores. This is how it works; there is a folded bag inside the cup as a pad each side and you take them out, connect them with a zip and here you go! ...Ok, who does take off her bra at casher and ask a clerk to put groceries in the bra? It is, of couse, designed by Japanese underwaer company, Triumph International Japan. I like the idea that they are seriously considering environmental issues, but the actual plan they came up with is like a joke. Plus, it is not their first eco-friendly (jokey) underwear, they previously had a couple of experimental models as well. What a great company, isn't it? Still, this is very entertain even though no one would buy them.

Big Fish

I should say this is my best favourite movie.

I happened to watch the last 10 minutes of the movie tonight, and I cried badly. I never expected that I would cry that much in 10 minutes. Tim Burton...damn, you are genius. (at least, to me) I know...silly me. I just cannot help sympathise with characters. This is totally my type of movie. Makes me cry and smile, and also think.

Coffee News

I found a very interesting local paper called Coffee News, and here is one of the news from the paper.

-Be bad: City officials in Amsterdam are asking vandals to show off their destructive skills on the city's new underground trains. They are inviting them to do the worst they can in terms of vandalism, all in an effort to test the subway system's resistance to damage. Pulling out seats, destroying fixtures and wrecking fitting will help the city determine which parts are vulnerable and need improvement, says city councillor Mark van der Horst. "We want to make sure our new trains are completely idiot-proof before we produce more of them. Amsterdam has the worst vandalism problem in the world."

...time to go to Amsterdam, huh?

ha-ha-

Oh, yeah. You're right.
